If you’re lucky enough to have Apple or Pear trees in the garden, are they in flower?
During the spring and summer there isn’t much to do caring for Apple and Pear trees but during this dry weather you may want to consider making sure they are watered. It can be beneficial to add a general purpose fertiliser to the base (Growmore would be ideal.)
Trivia – ‘How do you like them apples’ is a phrase considered to be created during the First World War when soldiers would throw anti-tank grenades (that looked like toffee apples) at enemy tanks. It is still regularly used taunting enemies while you are experiencing some good luck or winning.
