May is the perfect time to plant lavender and we’ve got a great selection of both English and French Lavender here at Homeleigh.
Lavender is easy to grow and is very hardy – tolerating both drought conditions and poor soil. It will fill your garden with a glorious aroma, beautiful lilac flowers and our friends the bumble bees absolutely love it!
English lavender is best suited to our climate and is hardy down to around -5°C but French also grows well as long as it is protected from hard frosts.
What about a sunny lavender border or multiple pots? Lavender even thrives in sandy conditions, making it a great choice for our Bude friends.
