HOW TO PRUNE AUTUMN FRUITING RASPBERRIES

Autumn fruiting raspberries differ from summer-fruiting in terms of pruning needs.

February is the time to prune your autumn fruiting raspberries by cutting back all of your canes to around 5cm stumps. Be careful not to snip any new shoots that are starting to appear from the ground.

Keep an eye on your canes over the summer months and reduce the number of canes if your plant is overcrowded. Also trim off any shoots that are growing away from the rows.
